Description:

Abstract:: The USGS produces a quadrangle grid for the state of Virginia. Each grid represents the topographic land area covered by 7.5 quadrangle maps. Quad names are assigned by the USGS. There are three attributes in the DBF file that are most commonly used for interpretation by VEDP, those are Name, Ohio_index, and Quadno.
Purpose:: The Virginia Quadrangle Grid Index was created for use as a coverage by VEDP using the GENERATE command on the USGS DOQQ Index coverage in ARCINFO 7.1.a. There is no FGDC compliant metadata available on this coverage. Please refer to the metadata for the DOQQ Index for contact, availability and organizational information. All projection and datum information are identical to the DOQQ Index.
